Student Accommodation in Universities
Many universities and colleges provide occupancy rooms for their students. University-managed accommodation, such as residence halls and university-owned flats, is an option for students who prefer to stay near or within campus grounds.
This type of accommodation often has a curfew and is run by a dorm matron. However, in the U.S. and some countries in Europe, attempts have been made to change and provide a more inclusive community for dormitory residents. Some residence halls have been added with life-style features such as cafeterias, academic centres, Internet facilities, kitchen facilities and laundry rooms.

Halls and university accommodation are excellent options for students who want to spare themselves the trouble of house-hunting. It is also the most convenient place to meet other students and get easy access to campus facilities. As for the cost, it is often cheaper and better valued than private accommodation because its bills are often added in the room rates.
So, before you hunt-out for rental houses or apartments to stay while you’re studying, better inquire first on the student housing services offered by your college or university.
